Web Design is Fun

Yes its true, web design can be fun! Using simple techniques anybody can design page pages and publish them on the Internet for everybody to enjoy. Do you have any hobbies? maybe you are a member of local club, why not create a web page about what YOU do? You may be surprised by how many other people around the world may share similar interests to you.

Why not search the Internet using a search engine like google, yahoo or MSN Search and see what other people have to say about their favorite pastimes.

Where to Start

The wonderful thing about web design is that its so easy just to try it, if you have a PC, Laptop or Apple Mac then you probably already have all the equipment you need to start!

There are thousands of books to help get you started, try searching at amazon.com. Another great way to start with web design in to contact your local College, Colleges often run basic courses to get you started with the basics of design and HTML.

Web Design as a Career

A career in Web Design can be a very rewarding and often challenging one. Some of the skills that are useful as a professional web designer are:

• Having a strong Interest and ability in General Design Concepts
• Have skills in programming languages such as VB and Java Script
• Being able to take and understand briefs from clients, which are seldom very clear!
• Being able to keep pace with changing technology
• Being able to discuss technical matters with to others
